Job Description
As Deputy Manager, you'll work alongside the Registered Manager to create a safe, nurturing home where young people can thrive. You'll lead and develop a committed team, helping them build strong, meaningful relationships with children and support them to achieve their goals, plan for their futures, and reach their potential.
You'll champion outstanding, relationship\-centred care, ensuring children’s safety and wellbeing always come first. You'll support the day\-to\-day running of the home, maintain high standards of quality and compliance, provide supervision and coaching to staff, and help shape learning and development across the team.
Beyond the home, you'll play a key role in developing innovative practice, building strong partnerships with families and professionals, and contributing to improvements across the wider residential childcare sector.

About you
We're looking for a confident and compassionate leader who is passionate about helping children in care thrive and achieve their potential. You'll bring:
- Experience working with children and young people with social, emotional and behavioural needs in a residential setting.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, coach and develop a high\-performing team.
- A commitment to building positive, trusting relationships with children, families and professionals.
- The ability to create a nurturing, family\-feel environment where children feel safe, valued and supported.
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to advocate for children and work effectively with partner agencies.
- A resilient, adaptable and reflective approach, remaining calm under pressure and learning from challenges.
- High standards of safeguarding practice, always putting children's safety and wellbeing first.
- A willingness to learn and champion our Social Pedagogy approach, developing both your knowledge and practical application over time.
- A collaborative, values\-led leadership style built on kindness, honesty, integrity and inclusion.
- Ambition to grow your career, with an interest in developing into Registered Manager and other senior leadership roles as our organisation continues to expand.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Care or equivalent qualification, and either hold or willing to work towards the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care or an equivalent qualification
