Salary £32,500 \- £38,000

We are currently looking for a Deputy Manager to join our staff team in East Dulwich. You will have a Level 3, full and relevant qualification in childcare and a thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

You will need to be enthusiastic and have a positive attitude along with excellent communication skills. The ability to build strong, supportive relationships with children, parents and staff is also vital. You must also be patient, empathetic, caring and friendly.

We are considering full time applicants to cover shifts if required.

Qualifications and Skills

• 1\+ years of Nursery experience (Preferred)


• Level 3 Early Years/Childcare Diploma (full and relevant)


• Knowledge of OFSTED standards


• Excellent knowledge of the EYFS


• Good time management skills


• Excellent communication skills


• Knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding


• Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities / SENCO etc.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development of staff team


• Support the manager in the day\-to\-day running of the nursery


• Promote a high standard of quality within the nursery, including practice, environment, and resources to meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage


• To manage and support children’s personal, social, and emotional development, including the promotion of positive behaviour strategies


• Support the transition of children into the nursery and then onto the next room


• Build positive relationships with children, their families, and colleagues


• Work as part of a team


• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
