Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Assistant to join our caring and supportive team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating a nurturing environment for children, including those with special educational needs and disabilities. Responsibilities
- Assist in the organisation and supervision of daily activities within the nursery setting
- Support children with their learning, play, and social interactions, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment
- Work closely with children with special educational needs, including those with autism, providing personalised support
- Implement educational programmes under the guidance of senior staff, fostering development in communication, social skills, and independence
- Aid in the preparation of learning materials and resources tailored to individual needs
- Promote positive behaviour management strategies and encourage children’s emotional well\-being
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support each child's development plan
- Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times
- Experience or interest in special education and working with individuals with disabilities or autism is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, colleagues, and parents
- Ability to teach, mentor, and provide tutoring support tailored to each child's needs
- Compassionate approach with a genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth
- Organised, patient, and adaptable to meet the diverse needs of young learners
- Previous experience in mentoring or working with children will be advantageous but is not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Pay: From £12\.70 per hour
