Night Manager – Crazy Bear Stadhampton

Once the daytime managers go home,the hotel is yours.
We’re looking for an experienced Night Manager to take responsibility for Crazy Bear Stadhampton overnight. You’ll lead the night team,look after our guests,keep the hotel safe and make sure the morning team knows exactly what happened while they were asleep.
Most nights will be quiet. The important bit is being ready when one isn’t.
What you’ll be doing

- Taking responsibility for the hotel’s overnight operation
- Acting as the senior point of contact for guests and colleagues
- Welcoming late arrivals and overseeing early departures
- Handling guest requests,complaints and unexpected situations
- Completing regular security and safety checks
- Making sure entrances,doors and guest areas are secure
- Responding to alarms,emergencies and incidents
- Following fire,evacuation and emergency procedures
- Completing overnight checks,reports and reception administration
- Writing a clear daily night report covering incidents,guest issues,maintenance problems and outstanding actions
- Producing basic factual incident reports when required
- Handling bills,payments and overnight reconciliation accurately
- Making sure reception and public areas remain presentable
- Overseeing early\-morning preparation where required
- Providing a clear and accurate handover to the morning management team

- Previous experience as a Night Manager,Night Supervisor or Duty Manager within a hotel
- The confidence to take charge and make sensible decisions overnight
- Experience supervising or leading a small team
- Strong guest\-service and problem\-solving skills
- The ability to handle complaints and difficult situations calmly
- Good awareness of hotel safety and security
- The ability to write clear,accurate and factual basic reports
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- Confidence using computers,hotel systems and Microsoft Office
- Honesty,discretion and sound judgement
- First\-aid or fire\-marshal training would be useful,but training can be provided
- Flexibility to work nights,weekends and bank holidays

Set in the Oxfordshire countryside,it’s our original home with signature bedrooms,a 16th\-century pub,an al fresco terrace and spaces for weddings and events.
At night,things are quieter but not necessarily simpler. You’ll be trusted to lead the team and look after the hotel,its guests and whatever the night brings.
