Night Dispatch Coordinator – 2 Nights Per Week

We're looking for a Part\-Time Night Dispatch Coordinator to join our team, working two 12\-hour night shifts per week from 6:00pm to 6:00am.

We're looking for someone who is calm under pressure, comfortable working independently and has the communication and organisational skills needed to keep our overnight operations running smoothly.

The Role

As a Night Dispatch Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of our overnight operations – making sure drivers and subcontractors are in the right place at the right time while ensuring our customers continue to receive an excellent service throughout the night.

This position will initially involve onsite training at our Abercynon office. Once training has been successfully completed and you are confident working independently, the role can be completed from home.

For this reason, applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance of our Abercynon office and be able to attend the office when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and process booking requests via phone, email and our booking systems.


• Schedule and dispatch drivers to ensure timely collections.


• Monitor live journeys throughout the night.


• Provide drivers with updates regarding delays, last\-minute changes and amendments.


• Respond to operational issues quickly and effectively to minimise disruption.


• Maintain accurate records of bookings, client information and driver assignments.


• Communicate clearly and professionally with drivers, customers, subcontractors and colleagues.


• Use iCabbi dispatch software to allocate vehicles efficiently and manage journeys.


• Support safe, efficient and reliable overnight transport operations.

Previous experience within dispatch, logistics or transport would be advantageous, but it is not essential as training will be provided.

More importantly, we're looking for someone who is:

• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.


• Confident working independently during night hours.


• A strong verbal and written communicator.


• Able to multitask and prioritise effectively.


• Comfortable using technology, GPS navigation and dispatch systems.


• Calm and professional when dealing with unexpected situations.


• Solutions\-focused and capable of making sensible decisions under pressure.


• Reliable and able to commit consistently to two night shifts per week.
