Part\-Time Day Dispatch Coordinator – 3 Days Per Week

Location: Abercynon Office
Hours: Part\-time – 3 days per week
Contract: 3\-Month Fixed\-Term Contract
Potential: Opportunity to become permanent following successful contract retender

About Us

Techxi is a growing ground transportation company providing specialist transport solutions, app\-based ride hailing and traditional taxi booking services across England and Wales.

We're ambitious, forward\-thinking and technology\-driven, and we're proud to deliver safe, reliable and customer\-focused transport services.

We're looking for a Part\-Time Day Dispatch Coordinator to join our team on an initial 3\-month fixed\-term contract, working three days per week.

The position is being introduced to provide additional support to one of our key transport contracts during a particularly important period for the business.

The contract is currently undergoing a retender process and, should Techxi be successful in retaining the contract, there may be an opportunity for this position to become permanent.

The Role

As a Dispatch Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of our day\-to\-day operations – helping to make sure drivers and subcontractors are in the right place at the right time while ensuring our customers receive a reliable and professional service.

You'll work closely with our existing Dispatch Team, monitoring live journeys, responding to operational changes and helping resolve issues as they arise.

Transport operations can change quickly, so we're looking for someone who can remain organised, communicate confidently and keep a clear head when things don't quite go to plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and process booking requests via phone, email and our booking systems.

  • Schedule and dispatch drivers to ensure timely collections.

  • Monitor live journeys and respond to changes throughout the day.

  • Provide drivers with updates regarding delays, last\-minute changes and amendments.

  • Respond to operational issues quickly and effectively to minimise disruption.

  • Maintain accurate records of bookings, client information and driver assignments.

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with drivers, customers, subcontractors and colleagues.

  • Use iCabbi dispatch software to allocate vehicles efficiently and manage journeys.

  • Work closely with other members of the Dispatch Team to manage workload and maintain service levels.

  • Support safe, efficient and reliable transport operations.
About You

Previous experience within dispatch, logistics, transport or a fast\-paced customer service environment would be advantageous, but it is not essential as training will be provided.

More importantly, we're looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

  • A confident verbal and written communicator.

  • Comfortable speaking with customers, drivers and colleagues.

  • Able to multitask and prioritise effectively.

  • Comfortable using technology, GPS navigation and dispatch systems.

  • Calm and professional when dealing with unexpected situations.

  • Solutions\-focused and capable of making sensible decisions under pressure.

  • A team player who is happy to support colleagues during busy periods.

  • Reliable and able to commit consistently to three working days per week.
Contract and Opportunity

This position is initially being offered as a 3\-month fixed\-term contract to provide additional resource and support to the team while an existing transport contract undergoes a retender process.

Should Techxi successfully retain the contract, there may be an opportunity for the position to become permanent, subject to the operational requirements of the new contract.

While we cannot guarantee permanent employment beyond the initial fixed\-term period, we're looking for someone who would ideally be interested in remaining with Techxi longer\-term should the opportunity become available.

Why Join Techxi?

At Techxi, we know our people are at the heart of our success.

You'll join a supportive and experienced team where you'll receive training on our systems and processes and have the opportunity to develop valuable experience within a growing transport business.

The three\-day working week also makes this a great opportunity for someone looking for a better balance between work and their other commitments while still being part of a busy operational environment.

And, with the possibility of the position becoming permanent following the contract retender, there is the potential for the right person to continue developing their career with Techxi beyond the initial three\-month period.

How to Apply

If you're organised, reliable, confident communicating with people and enjoy working in a fast\-moving environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today and our Recruitment Team will be in touch to discuss the role and next steps.
