Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high\-quality care to individuals, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well\-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while being attentive to the needs of our clients. The post is for 2 nights per week with optional overtime paid at an enhanced rate.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity while providing emotional support.
- Follow individual care plans to meet the specific needs of each client.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Document client progress and any changes in condition accurately.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients at all times.
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings as necessary.
- Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to follow care plans meticulously.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients.
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent
Pay: £12\.71 per hour
