About us
Bryony House Care Home is a 35 bed residential care caring for the other 65 year olds.
To be available to assist residents at night where a need is identified.
Principle Responsibilities
- To deliver personal care to all residents.
- Be aware of the fire rules and procedures for missing persons and complaints.
- Carry out regular checks around the home at intervals throughout the night.
- Answer all call alarms, assess the situation, deal with the resident seeking help.
- Assist residents preparing for bed and waking in the morning as directed.
- In the time available between attending to residents, undertake domestic duties primarily in the fields of laundry and ironing, food preparation or cleaning as directed.
- Take part in staff meetings and training as directed.
- Any such reasonable duties as required.
- Previous experience in a care setting, preferably in a care home or home care environment
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Proficient in IT and basic computer skills for documentation
- Compassionate and patient demeanor to provide quality care during night shifts
Pay: £12\.71 per hour
Expected hours: 24\.0 – 36\.0 per week
