Night Care Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Night Care Assistant to provide high\-quality care during overnight hours in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting residents' needs, ensuring their safety, and maintaining a comfortable environment throughout the night. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents while working within a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents’ wellbeing throughout the night, responding promptly to their needs and requests


• Assist with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and mobility support as required


• Ensure residents' safety by conducting regular checks and maintaining a secure environment


• Follow individual care plans to deliver tailored support and assistance


• Record relevant information accurately in documentation and handover report


• Communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, and family members to ensure seamless care delivery


• Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the care environment during shifts

• Good communication skills in English, with the ability to listen attentively and respond compassionately


• Basic IT skills for recording information and updating care records accurately


• Experience or familiarity with home care or care home environments is desirable


• Ability to work independently during night shifts while remaining vigilant and attentive


• Strong organisational skills to follow care plans diligently and manage multiple responsibilities effectively


• Excellent interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with residents and team members
