NHS Talking Therapies Counsellor

We are excited to be recruiting for a part time qualified Counsellor to work in our supportive team here in Burnley . You will join our Talking Therapies team offering one to one, telephone and online therapy. We are open to flexible and hybrid working requests.

The successful candidate will be joining a fantastic team of PWPs, Counsellors and CBT therapists who work collaboratively to deliver the best outcomes for clients. Health and wellbeing of staff is important to us. You will receive regular supervision and will also have the opportunity to attend suitable training events to support your professional development.

Depending on qualifications, knowledge and skills you will be paid at a corresponding pay band.

• To provide high quality primary care TT and counselling) services to clients with mild to moderate mental health problems.


• To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of team policies and procedure.


• To deliver NHS Talking Therapies Counselling services in accordance with NICE guidelines, within agreed activity levels and model, meeting required key performance indicators (KPIs).


• To promote wellbeing and social inclusion.


• To work flexibly and in accordance with service demands.


• To work to the agreed number of clinical contacts per week as set by the Team Lead

Lancashire \& South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
