Network Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organisation’s network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability. Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage network infrastructure across on\-premises and cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and Oracle Cloud.
- Configure and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers to ensure high availability and security.
- Develop automation scripts using Python or Java to streamline network operations and improve efficiency.
- Monitor network performance using specialised tools; troubleshoot issues promptly to minimise downtime.
- Implement security protocols and best practices to safeguard organisational data and systems against cyber threats.
- Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to integrate APIs and optimise system interoperability within diverse operating systems including Windows and Linux.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, procedures, and incident reports following SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) standards.
- Assist in the planning of network capacity upgrades in line with organisational growth strategies.
- Support DevOps initiatives by integrating networking solutions into CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment.
- Proven experience working as a Network Engineer or similar role within a complex IT environment.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Oracle Cloud services.
- Hands\-on experience with scripting languages including Python and Java for automation purposes.
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows Server and various Linux distributions.
- Practical understanding of SDLC processes related to network development projects.
- Experience configuring and managing APIs for system integration purposes.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent problem\-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast\-paced environment.
Pay: £160\.00\-£200\.00 per day
