Hours of Work: 40 hours per week (however flexibility is essential for this role).

Town \& Country Fine Foods is an established national supplier of premium products for Fine Dining, Pastry and Hospitality in the UK.
The business views The National Account Mangers role as fundamental to its continuing growth. To be successful we must ensure that National Account Managers are fully aligned with company strategy and operate effectively in an increasingly demanding marketplace.
Purpose of the job
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing annual Business Plans for an agreed portfolio of National Account Groups. The job\-holder will develop and maintain relationships with customers, maximise new business opportunities and devise strategies to gain profitable new business.
Core Responsibilities:
The job\-holder will be responsible for:
· Planning a sales and contact strategy to deliver results in line with Town \& Country Fine Foods growth targets. These plans will include the retention and development of existing business and aggressive activity to win new business.
· Building \& strengthening commercial relationships within new business opportunities.
· Execute contract negotiation and rebate negotiations with National Accounts.
· Understanding the different buying platforms used by National Account customers.
· Pro\-active prospecting and client networking, including face\-to\-face client meetings.
· Demonstrating products and services to clients to assist them in selecting those best suited to their needs.
· Liaising with Marketing and Purchasing departments to identify profitable business opportunities.
· Attending sales and other internal meetings as required and contributing positively to those sessions.
· Participation in presentations and exhibitions as required.
· Managing professional communication to customers about changes in Town \& Country Fine Foods (price increase, service level changes, product information)
· Maintaining an up\-to\-date diary and schedule detailing workloads and results of meetings in accordance with Company protocols.
· Supporting and actively promoting all Company marketing and sales initiatives.
· Providing accurate and timely Sales Forecasts for the account portfolio.
· Providing Senior Management team with information regarding the level of outside competition and general market activities.
· Representation of the company at key business events and using them to generate new business leads.
· Assisting Credit Management in the risk mitigation of bad debts.
· To maintain and care for all Company property including vehicle, IT and telecoms equipment.
- To maintain and submit on a timely basis all Company reporting, including expense forms and mileage reports, in accordance with Company protocols
This position covers accounts on a national basis; therefore, travelling will be an essential part of this role. On average a National Account Manager can expect to work away 2/3 nights every week (depending on location).
The National Account Manager’s role is home\-based, however the successful candidate must have reasonable access to the Slough head office.
Person Specification for National Account Manager
Professional / Technical Qualifications
· A levels or Equivalent
· Grade C and above in Maths and English GSCE
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
· Degree level education.
Experience \& Job Knowledge
· Proven recent successful sales experience with National Groups in Foodservice.
· Knowledge of Menu Development and planning processes used by Catering Operators.
· In\-depth understanding of Supply Chain management in contemporary Foodservice markets
· Strong networking relationships with Wholesale and Distributors in Foodservice.
· Proven successful experience of field sales management.
· Experience of ‘multi\-temp’ product ranges.
· Knowledge of T\&CFF product areas.
· Familiarity with SAP systems.
