National Account Manager
Holdsworth Foods is a leading food distribution business with a strong reputation for exceptional service and high\-quality products. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an additional dynamic, results\-driven, and service\-led National Account Manager to strengthen our team. This role is crucial in managing and expanding relationships with key customers across the UK, ensuring that we continue to deliver excellence in everything we do.
The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of national accounts, primarily based in the Midlands, while also seeking new business opportunities. You will develop and execute strategic sales plans, negotiate contracts, and drive revenue growth. As this role requires frequent travel, a full UK driving licence is essential.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, driving long\-term partnerships.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans to ensure our proposition aligns with customer needs.
- Take full ownership of P\&L and commercial negotiations, ensuring profitability and growth.
- Lead range reviews and promotional activity with support from marketing and procurement.
- Drive proactive sales management, ensuring budgets and targets are met.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities, expanding our reach within the hospitality sector.
- Work closely with our procurement and stock teams to maintain accurate sales forecasts and meet key performance indicators.
- Proven experience as a National Account Manager in the food industry, ideally within distribution, wholesale, or manufacturing.
- A strong commercial mindset with a track record of exceeding sales and profit targets.
- Exceptional negotiation and relationship\-building skills.
- Ability to work strategically while also being hands\-on with customer interactions.
- Analytical skills to interpret sales data, market trends, and customer insights.
- A self\-motivated, results\-oriented approach with excellent communication and presentation skills.
