National Account Manager – Foodservice Wholesale & Distribution (Frozen / Ice Cream)

Earnings: £50,000–£100,000\+ OTE – Uncapped Commission

About Avellino Gelato

Avellino Gelato is a premium UK gelato manufacturer based in Leeds, producing award\-winning Italian\-style gelato for the foodservice, hospitality and wholesale sectors.

As we expand our UK distribution network, we are looking for an experienced and well\-connected National Accounts Sales Agent who can introduce Avellino to major foodservice wholesalers, frozen\-food distributors, cash \& carries and buying groups.

This is not a traditional field\-sales position calling individual restaurants and cafés.

We want someone who already understands the UK foodservice wholesale market, knows how to secure supplier listings and, ideally, has existing relationships with buyers and procurement teams.

The Opportunity

Your primary objective will be to secure new distributor listings and recurring pallet\-volume business for Avellino Gelato.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have existing relationships or previous experience dealing with organisations such as Bidfood, Brakes, JJ Foodservice, Bestway and major regional frozen\-food and foodservice wholesalers.

You will be responsible for introducing Avellino to relevant buyers, arranging buyer meetings and product presentations, securing product trials and listings, negotiating commercial opportunities and developing new accounts into recurring pallet\-volume customers.

There is also an opportunity to develop international distributors and export accounts as the brand expands.

Who We're Looking For

You should have previous experience within foodservice, frozen food, ice cream, desserts, FMCG wholesale or food distribution.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who can demonstrate existing relationships with relevant wholesale/distribution buyers and a track record of successfully getting products listed.

Experience dealing with distributor margins, pallet pricing, buying groups, frozen logistics, promotional activity and national/regional account negotiations would be highly advantageous.

Existing buyer relationships are more important to us than generic sales experience.

Avellino produces premium Italian\-style gelato in 5L Napoli tubs, designed specifically for the foodservice and hospitality market.

Our range includes high\-demand flavours such as Pistachio, Ferrero Rocher, Kinder Bueno, Biscoff, Mango, Vanilla, Cookies \& Cream and more.

We can support distributors with mixed\-pallet orders, competitive wholesale pricing, product samples, marketing materials and private\-label manufacturing opportunities.
