National Account Manager – Chemical Raw Materials (B2B)

chemical raw materials across a range of industries. We pride ourselves on building

The Role

We are looking for a commercially driven National Account Manager to manage and

grow key accounts while identifying new business opportunities across the UK and

Europe.

This is a dynamic role combining account management and business development,

suited to someone with an entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive approach to

customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop relationships with key national accounts

  • Identify and win new business opportunities within target markets

  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline

  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply agreements

  • Attend customer meetings, site visits, and industry exhibitions across the UK \&
EU
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing movements

  • Work closely with internal teams (procurement, logistics, operations) to ensure
smooth delivery
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and reporting – SAGE 200
What We’re Looking For

Experience:

  • 5–7 years’ experience in Sales/ chemical B2B sales (raw materials)
Skills \& Attributes:
  • Strong account management and relationship\-building skills

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a positive and proactive approach

  • Proven ability to develop sales strategies and drive revenue growth

  • Experience managing and mentoring team members

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Certifications (Desirable):
  • Industry knowledge or training in REACH, ISO, or similar
Working Conditions
  • 9\-hour working day (including 1\-hour lunch break)

  • Based at the Stockport Head Office

  • Reporting to the Managing Director (MD) and Senior Business Development
Manager (BDM)
  • Regular travel across the UK \& Europe (customers, exhibitions)

  • Occasional visits to suppliers, warehouses, and distribution centres

  • Full UK driving licence preferred
