National Account Manager – Chemical Raw Materials (B2B)

The Role
We are looking for a commercially driven National Account Manager to manage and
grow key accounts while identifying new business opportunities across the UK and
Europe.
This is a dynamic role combining account management and business development,
suited to someone with an entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive approach to
customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with key national accounts
- Identify and win new business opportunities within target markets
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply agreements
- Attend customer meetings, site visits, and industry exhibitions across the UK \&
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing movements
- Work closely with internal teams (procurement, logistics, operations) to ensure
- Maintain accurate CRM records and reporting – SAGE 200
Experience:
- 5–7 years’ experience in Sales/ chemical B2B sales (raw materials)
- Strong account management and relationship\-building skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a positive and proactive approach
- Proven ability to develop sales strategies and drive revenue growth
- Experience managing and mentoring team members
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Industry knowledge or training in REACH, ISO, or similar
- 9\-hour working day (including 1\-hour lunch break)
- Based at the Stockport Head Office
- Reporting to the Managing Director (MD) and Senior Business Development
- Regular travel across the UK \& Europe (customers, exhibitions)
- Occasional visits to suppliers, warehouses, and distribution centres
- Full UK driving licence preferred
