Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias) Location: Knowsley - liverpool
Salary: £44,000 + OT @ 1.5x + 33% Night Shift Allowance
Shifts: 3-Shift Rotation (6-2 / 2-10 / 10-6)
Holidays: 25 Days + 8 Bank Holidays
Call-Out: 1 in 4 weekends (paid £51 per call-out)

The Role We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (60/40 or 70/30) to join a busy manufacturing environment. You will be expected to hit the ground running, supporting production by maintaining, fault-finding and repairing a wide range of machinery and systems.

You will report directly to the Engineering Manager and join an established maintenance team with a stable structure. Please note this is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys staying technical and operational.

Key Responsibilities • Maintenance and repair of heater systems

• Work on machine safety systems


• Fault-finding on single and 3-phase motors


• Maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems


• Reactive and planned maintenance across Plastic injection moulding manufacturing machinery


• Supporting production teams to minimise downtime


• Occasional weekend call-out (1 in 5)

Experience & Qualifications • Minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturing

• Injection moulding experience highly advantageous


• Ideally NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent


• Strong mechanical background with multi-skilled capability


• Ability to work independently and efficiently

Package • Salary: £44,000

• Overtime: Paid at 1.5x


• Shift Allowance:33% for night shifts


• Call-Out Pay: £51 per call-out


• Hours: 3-shift rotation (6-2 / 2-10 / 10-6)

• Holidays: 25 days + 8 bank holidays
