Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Due to growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Multi\-skilled Electromechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our friendly Maintenance and Engineering Team.
Reliability, dedication and a strong work ethic are fundamental character traits we are always looking for with further cross\-training provided.
In order to be successful in the application process for the Multi\-skilled Electromechanical Maintenance Engineer role, you will need to have:
- Proven experience in industrial, processing, foundry, recycling, or similar harsh environments.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault‑finding skills.
- Experience with industrial machinery such as conveyors, furnaces, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documents.
- Understanding of PLC‑controlled systems.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance recording.
- Strong safety awareness
- NVQ Level 3 / City \& Guilds in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Multiskilled Maintenance.
- Level 3 Electromechanical qualification (preferred).
- Apprenticeship‑trained (advantageous).
- Additional training in hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, or industrial automation (beneficial).
- Good experience in heavy industrial hydraulic equipment.
- Knowledge of refractory systems, burner management, and molten metal handling equipment.
- IOSH safety training.
- Condition‑based monitoring (vibration, thermography, lubrication analysis).
- Welding, fabrication, or machining skills.
- Positive ‘ can do’ working attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and quality standards
- A practical, hands\-on approach to work
- Due to the nature of the role, good general health

40 hours per week on rotating shifts:
Week 1: Monday to Thursday, 06:00 – 14:00
Week 2: Monday to Thursday, 13:00 – 22:00 and 11:00 \- 15:00 on Fridays
Flexibility is essential to work both of the above shifts.
Pay rate:
£25\.95 per hour (this includes shift allowance)
