About us
We are The Maintenance Team, a multi\-skilled property services company who have been established for over a decade across the Midlands, Herts and Greater London.
We're looking for an experienced multi\-skilled engineer to join our team, carrying out a wide range of reactive and planned property maintenance works across our client base of property and estate management companies. You'll work across domestic and commercial properties, managing jobs from start to finish. This is a full\-time, directly employed position.
Example of day to day tasks required for this job:
- Carpentry works including fire door hanging, fitting windows and doors, and hardware repairs and replacements
- Kitchen installations and upgrades
- Bathroom refurbishments and installations
- Plastering, dry lining and partition walls
- Tiling
- Flooring installations including LVT, lino and laminate
- Painting and decoration
- General plumbing works including taps, traps, sinks and shower replacements
- Mould and damp assessments and rectification works
- Brickwork and render repairs, repointing, rebuilding and masonry surface treatments
- External works including fencing, gutters and fascias
- Scoping works and providing a clear specification of materials and labour required
- Completing job reports and photographs via company tablet
- Travelling to a variety of sites across our operating regions
- Minimum two years of recent, consistent, full time PAYE experience in a similar role
- A core trade qualification or demonstrable professional experience across multiple trades
- Full, valid UK driving licence
- Own set of general and battery powered tools, maintained to a professional standard
- Ability to work independently and manage jobs from start to finish
Nice to have
- CSCS card or equivalent site safety certification
- Asbestos awareness certification or equivalent health and safety qualification
- Basic electrical or plumbing qualifications or demonstrated experience in either trade
- Salary based upon experience and expertise
- 28 days annual leave inclusive of Bank Holidays
- An additional day of annual leave for every 12 months of service, up to five extra days
