Multi-skilled Engineer/Fitter (Mechanically Biased)
The Role
A fantastic opportunity has become available for a multi\-skilled engineer/fitter, with a strong mechanical background, to join an established international flooring/construction company that develops and maintains its own specialist equipment who is willing to invest in you.
The role will involve working with a range of carefully designed machines, specific to our specialist company. These machines are built in house from fabricated parts based on our own designs. Not only will the right candidate help build these bespoke machines, they will be able to maintain, fault find, repair and provide solutions to problems.
These mobile machines are predominantly powered by a diesel engine driving an Hydraulic control system.
A large part of the role will be dealing with building, assembly, installation, maintaining and testing of the machine. The right candidate will be a self\-motivated engineer who is eager for a challenge and confident enough to work on their own initiative.
An ever\-increasing part to this position is fault finding and repair. This can be remote support and out on site. A site could be a construction site or in an operational warehouse. This will involve working away from home for short periods, travelling at short notice to assist in repairing equipment if it cannot be resolved remotely. Sites can range from the UK, throughout Europe and occasionally overseas. A trip to the USA, the Far East, Australia or the Middle East will not be out of the question.
This is a great opportunity for a flexible multi\-skilled engineer/fitter who has a wide range of abilities to develop their skills and become the best they can be.
