The Role

As part of a multidisciplinary team the post holder will have responsibility for assessment of care needs and the development of programmes of care, and / or the implementation and evaluation of these programmes ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients.

Assessment of presenting conditions, initiation of investigations, determination of differential diagnosis, initiate treatment and where appropriate discharge patients.

Review treatment plans developed by less experienced staff in order to confirm differential diagnosis and advise on discharge/referral.

In the absence of the Team Leader for MINTS the post holder will have responsibility for the management of the MINTS Service including supervision, development and deployment of junior staff.

The shift pattern for this role will be 11\.5 hours, days \& nights, 24/7\.

In this key role, you will:

  • Responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for patients to ensure delivery of a high standard of care.

  • Assessment of presenting conditions, initiation of investigations, determination of differential diagnosis, initiate treatment and where appropriate discharge patients.

  • Review treatment plans developed by other less experienced staff in order to confirm differential diagnosis and advise discharge/referral.

  • To initiate maintain effective communications with patients / carers and other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure that the appropriate advice information is shared, and patient needs are met.
What You'll Bring:
  • Registered Nurse with current revalidation and NMC Registration.

  • Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level.

  • Graduate Certificate in Urgent Care or Equivalent.

  • Mints Major / Minor Injury practitioner / or Emergency Nurse Practitioner qualification.
