We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor (MEPH) to join our Kier Mechanical \& Electrical team based on project sites in the Essex area
Location: Project Based, Essex.
Hours: Full Time, Permanent \- some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Join our specialist Mechanical \& Electrical team and play a key role in delivering complex construction projects across diverse sectors including health, science, education and custodial facilities. As a Quantity Surveyor (MEPH), you'll manage the commercial aspects of exciting projects, working collaboratively with our project teams to maximise value and drive successful outcomes. What will you be responsible for?
As a Quantity Surveyor (MEPH), you'll be working within the Kier Mechanical \& Electrical team, supporting them in delivering commercial excellence across our construction projects. Your day to day will include:
- Managing project commercial resources to maximise planned gross margin through effective contract placement and control
- Undertaking procurement activities including subcontract enquiries, tender reviews, and valuation of project progress
- Producing monthly cost reports, risk and opportunity management, and driving margin improvement plans
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Supporting junior team members through mentoring and sharing your commercial knowledge and expertise
This role of Quantity Surveyor (MEPH) is great for you if:
- You're degree or HND/HNC qualified in Quantity Surveying (or have equivalent experience)
- You have experience delivering multiple small or medium schemes with a clear understanding of JCT, NEC and other main contract forms
- You possess technical understanding of MEPH services, components, and package interfaces
- You're organised, proactive, and able to handle multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy in forecasting and reporting
- You hold a Full driving licence, SMSTS/CSCS card, and are competent in Microsoft Office applications
