Medical Receptionist

Receptionist (Permanent Role)
Hours: 27\.5 hours per week (5\.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday)
Working Pattern: Shifts Between 7:45am to 6:40pm
Additional Hours: Regular overtime opportunities available (potential to increase to full\-time hours)
Annual Leave: 5 weeks plus Bank Holidays
Start Date: Negotiable
Location: The Knoll Surgery, Frodsham

We are seeking a friendly, flexible, and reliable Receptionist to join our busy surgery team on a temporary basis, with the potential for a permanent position. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys delivering excellent patient care as part of a supportive and professional team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greeting and checking in patients at the front desk


• Signposting patients to the appropriate service or clinician


• Dispensing medication and handling payments for dispensing patients


• Booking appointments for GPs, nurses, physiotherapists, and other clinicians


• Managing workflow and tasks received from other departments


• Using systems such as EMIS, Excel, Word, and Office 365


• Ensuring effective communication with patients via appropriate channels


• Assisting with stock checking in clinical rooms


• Supporting day\-to\-day operations to help manage patient demand efficiently

• A team player with a strong focus on patient care


• Excellent communication and customer service skills


• Confidence using IT systems and multitasking in a busy environment


• Willingness to work flexibly and provide shift cover when needed


• Previous experience in a healthcare or customer\-facing role is desirable but not essential

• Shift rotas are usually published with a minimum of 2 months’ notice


• Frequent overtime opportunities

Pay: £12\.92 per hour
