Job Description:
This is a lovely opportunity for an experienced IT engineer to join a well\-established, stable and successful IT support SME covering the North West. The company has built up a loyal and solid customer base over the last 20 years along with a great reputation amongst both its clients and suppliers.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic and technically capable Microsoft Azure Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for supporting and delivering Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 solutions for a variety of customers, working alongside senior engineers and project teams on both ongoing support and project work.
The key responsibilities of the Azure Cloud Solutions Engineer will be to…
· Deploy, configure and support Microsoft Azure services.
· Manage cloud migration projects from on\-premise infrastructure to Azure.
· Support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
· Manage Azure Virtual Machines, storage and networking components.
· Monitor client Azure environments and proactively identify issues.
· Assist customers with Azure cost optimisation and resource management.
Microsoft 365
· Administer Microsoft 365 environments.
· Manage Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Online.
· Support Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access and MFA.
· Assist with user onboarding, licensing and tenant administration.
· Participate in Microsoft 365 migration projects.
Project Delivery
· Lead technical delivery of Azure migration and transformation projects.
· Produce technical designs, implementation plans and project documentation.
· Perform assessments of existing on\-premises environments and recommend cloud solutions.
· Participate in project handovers and client training sessions.
Support \& Consultancy
· Provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support to clients.
· Troubleshoot cloud, server, networking and Microsoft 365 issues.
· Work collaboratively with the rest of the team.
· Maintain accurate technical documentation and records.
Security \& Compliance
· Implement Microsoft security best practices.
· Assist with cyber security assessments and remediation activities.
· Support clients with business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
Essential Skills \& Experience
· Must have at least 5 years working as part of an MSP, or small team within an individual company
· At least 3 years working with Microsoft Azure.
· Will have excellent Office365 product knowledge and administration skills.
· Will have experience of Entra ID, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy and Networking Fundamentals
· Is a strong, effective communicator with both customers and colleagues alike
· Must be happy to be on call for up to one weekend in six.
· Driving license required as role is office and field based with occasional working from home if needed.
