We are currently looking for a friendly, professional and organised part time Medical Receptionist to join our excellent team at Overton Park Surgery. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody with a passion for customer/ patient care, who thrives in a vibrant environment.
SKILLS \& ATTRIBUTES:
Your role is to assist in the smooth running of the practice by supporting patients, GPs and other practice staff, ensuring we meet both patient expectations and our high standards of service.
We will be looking for:

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
· Greeting our patients when they arrive and assisting with enquiries and check ins
· Dealing with our telephone lines to assist our patients with queries and appointment bookings
· Managing emails and website enquiries
· Processing prescription requests
· Daily administrative tasks
Job Types: Part time, Permanent
Basic hours: Part time – 17\.5 hours per week (shifts listed below \- subject to change)
Mon 14:30 \- 18:30
Tues 14:30 \- 18:30
Weds 08:00 \- 12:30
Fri 14:30 \- 18:30
Flexibility is essential as the role involves occasional cover for weekend shifts (Saturdays and evenings) plus overtime including holiday and other absence cover on weekdays. The above shift hours could be subject to change.
OTHER DETAILS
· To be considered for the role you must be able to demonstrate a full awareness of the role of a Care Navigator / Medical receptionist and have excellent people skills.
· The successful candidate will need to have a flexible approach to work.
· The position is predominantly computer based
· Candidates applying need to have experience of and be confident handling busy customer\-facing position, be self\-motivated and happy to work independently.
· Training will be provided which includes ongoing regular training
· Due to the nature of the role, appointment is dependent on the results of an enhanced DBS check.
