Job Title: Mechanical Trainer
As a Mechanical Trainer with M\&M Compliance Training Services you will be at the forefront of delivery in world class mechanical/electrical training. With a particular emphasis on specialist safe systems of work and procedures you will guide the next generation of engineers and help maintain standards across the industry.
Duties
With a wide variety of credit rated qualifications in our delivery model you will be required to:
- Deliver training sessions in accordance with M\&M Compliance Training Services (MMCTS) high standards, both at company training centres and client locations throughout the UK and occasionally overseas.
- Assess candidates against established industry criteria, ensuring compliance with MMCTS policies and procedures and internal verification process.
- Help develop open and bespoke training programmes tailored to specific client requirements, including NHS trusts and healthcare engineering professionals.
- Ensure training delivery aligns with M\&M’s commitment to excellence and meets or exceeds client expectations.
- Promptly process all documentation related to training delivery and candidate assessments to maintain seamless operational standards.
Essential
- Completion of a recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship or an equivalent training programme.
- A relevant mechanical qualification at QCF level 3 or higher.
- A mechanical engineering qualification at QCF level 4 or above (e.g. HNC or equivalent).
- Recognised Internal Quality Assessor / assessor qualification (e.g. IQA, CAVA, D32/33, A1 or equivalent).
Essential
- Substantial (10 years \+) engineering experience in mechanical or building services disciplines.
- Comprehensive knowledge of safe systems of work and regulatory compliance, particularly in the healthcare environment.
- Experience as an Authorised Person for mechanical systems or ventilation in the NHS, MOD, commercial FM sector or similar, with a strong understanding of associated guidance.
- Possession of a valid driving licence and willingness to travel and work away from home.
- Hands\-on experience operating and maintaining Pressure Systems (e.g. steam/hot water systems, compressed air, refrigeration, medical gases).
- Authorised Person experience for Confined Spaces, with good knowledge of safe systems of work, specifically JSP 375 Pt2 Vol 3 Chapter 6\.
- Practical expertise in the validation and commissioning of ventilation installations and systems.
Essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication in English.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for training and development within the healthcare engineering sector.
- Competent with Microsoft Office applications (5\+ years experience).
- Previous teaching or training experience.
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure, demonstrating patience and adaptability.
- A positive attitude and a sense of humour to engage effectively with trainees and colleagues.
Pay: £39,000\.00\-£43,000\.00 per year depending on experience.
