Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical equipment and systems across our facilities. Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment to minimise downtime.

  • Diagnose faults accurately using diagnostic tools and techniques, then implement effective repair solutions promptly.

  • Install, overhaul, repair, and replace mechanical components such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, and water treatment equipment.

  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to optimise system performance and implement upgrades or modifications as required.

  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in accordance with company procedures.

  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and safe working practices.

  • Participate in emergency repairs to minimise operational disruptions.
Experience
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Service Engineer or similar role within industrial or manufacturing environments. Minimum 6 years.

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and associated diagnostic tools.

  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent recognised certification.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics accurately.

  • Excellent problem\-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.

Pay: £31,200\.00\-£36,075\.00 per year
