About the Opportunity

Fit Out UK are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with a proven background in fast\-track retail and commercial fit\-outs to join our growing team.

This is a high\-impact role delivering full mechanical packages on exciting live retail roll\-outs, flagship stores, luxury hospitality venues, and premium commercial projects across the UK.

You will take full ownership of mechanical works (HVAC, Plumbing, Ventilation \& Air Conditioning) on multiple fast\-track projects simultaneously, often in live trading environments with tight 4–12 week programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of mechanical packages from pre\-construction through to successful handover


• Develop and manage detailed project programmes using Asta Powerproject or MS Project


• Lead site surveys and produce accurate mechanical audit reports for scoping and costing


• Procure, manage and coordinate mechanical labour, plant, materials and specialist subcontractors


• Effectively lead site teams while coordinating with main contractors, clients, and key stakeholders


• Champion exceptional health \& safety standards on live retail sites


• Manage variations, risks, commercial performance and cost control


• Continuously develop and expand our network of approved mechanical subcontractors

• Proven Mechanical Project Management experience specifically within fast\-track retail and commercial fit\-out (live store environments essential)


• Strong track record delivering HVAC, plumbing and ventilation packages on tight programmes (4–12 weeks)


• Excellent client\-facing skills with the ability to manage high\-profile retail and hospitality brands


• Proficient in Microsoft Office and scheduling software (Asta Powerproject or MS Project)


• In\-depth technical knowledge of commercial plumbing, ventilation and air conditioning systems


• Ability to work autonomously while successfully running multiple live projects

• Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or Construction Management


• Established relationships with high\-quality mechanical subcontractors specialising in retail fast\-track works

• Permanent or long\-term contract (PAYE or potentially freelance)

Pay: £55,000\.00\-£70,000\.00 per year
