Mechanical Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. The role will involve design and management of chemical dosing system projects within the water industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analysing, and improving mechanical systems and components, ensuring they meet safety, quality, and performance standards along with management of the project. Responsibilities

• Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues within mechanical systems and develop effective solutions.


• Design and simulate mechanical components and systems.


• Create system designs that optimise performance, reliability, and efficiency while considering manufacturability.


• Analyse system requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications.


• Collaborate with cross\-disciplinary teams to integrate mechanical designs with electrical and control systems.


• Review and validate CAD models and schematics to ensure compliance with project specifications.


• Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities to verify design integrity before production.

• Strong proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD/Plant 3D and general schematic development skills is preferable although not a strict requirement


• Experience within the water industry.


• Ability to lead a team of mechanical design engineers and also relay the requirements to the site teams.


• Knowledge of precise mechanical drawings and manufacturing communication.


• Mechanical knowledge encompassing materials selection, stress analysis, and system design principles.


• Ability to perform root cause analysis efficiently to resolve complex mechanical issues.


• Excellent understanding of system design processes from concept through implementation.
