Role Overview
This role is responsible for delivering engineering projects that support Thermal Management Systems, with a particular focus on aerospace heat exchanger products. The position leads complex engineering projects and New Product Introduction programmes, ensuring designs meet customer requirements, performance expectations, cost targets, and schedule commitments. Working within the Design Engineering team, the role applies strong engineering principles to the design, development, and validation of mechanical units while managing technical scope, risks, and deliverables.
Your responsibilities
- Lead Design Engineering projects and NPI programmes from planning through to delivery.
Manage project scope, schedules, risks, resources, technical deliverables, and engineering plans.
Support the design, development, analysis, testing, and validation of aerospace heat exchanger and Thermal Management System products.
Produce and review technical reports, engineering documentation, test plans, procedures, and validation outputs.
Ensure engineering work complies with customer, regulatory, and company standards.
Coordinate engineering changes through formal review processes.
Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Programme Management to support development, validation, and production readiness.
Engage with customers and suppliers through technical reviews, project updates, issue resolution, and clarification of requirements.
Support continuous improvement across engineering processes, products, and project delivery.
Who we are looking for
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Knowledge of mechanical design, product development, validation, and testing processes.
Experience with New Product Introduction programmes and formal engineering change processes.
Ability to manage technical scope, risks, deliverables, schedules, and cross\-functional project activity.
Strong understanding of customer, regulatory, and company engineering standards.
Experience working with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Programme Management, customers, and suppliers.
Knowledge of Thermal Management Systems, heat exchangers, or aerospace mechanical systems would be highly beneficial.
