Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a vehicle mechanic to join our team in Yeadon, Leeds.

RP Motorhomes is a specialist Motorhome convertor business based in Yeadon, near Leeds \& Bradford Airport. A position has become available, and we are looking for a new member of our team. We convert Mercedes Benz Sprinter panel vans into luxury motorhomes / overland vehicles.

Job Role Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced and motivated individual with a proven track record of strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic skills. Previous knowledge of manufacturing preferable but not essential.

The main tasks will involve working on vans / motorhomes. Fitting mechanical equipment etc, an understanding of electrics / auto wiring preferable but not essential. The role is varied and no two days will be the same.

What Experience, desirable not essential.

· IMI qualifications 1, 2 or 3

· City \& Guilds Automotive Level 3

. City \& Guilds 2391 or 2395 – Inspection and Testing

· City \& Guilds BS7671 18th Edition

· City \& Guilds NVQ Level 3 – Electrical Installation

· City \& Guilds Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Motor Vehicle Studies (or equivalent)

· A methodical worker with meticulous attention to detail

· Excellent time management and time keeping

· Flexibility and the ability to multi\-task within the working environment

· Consistency in producing a high\-quality product

· The ability to work in a varied and fast paced environment

· A self\-motivated, positive outlook and work ethic

· Attitude of continuous improvement

· Good interpersonal and communication skills

· The ideal candidate must have an awareness of working to production targets whilst maintaining incredibly high standards and health and safley principles.

This position would suit an individual who has experience with working as a:

· Mechanic

· Mechanical Technician

· Electrical engineer

· Wiring technician

This position is full time and permanent upon completion of a successful 3\-month probationary period. A full driving licence is required. Salary is negotiable with competent and experienced persons encouraged to apply as the salary will be dependent on skills and ability.
