Mechanical Engineer/Team Leader
Job Summary
We are small Water Treatment company, founded in 1988 currently consisting of 7 members of staff. We work in mainly remote private residential properties but also an increasing number of farms, commercial business's including care homes, schools \& factories etc and undertake all forms of water pumping and treatment. (Clean water only).
Our business is currently based on around 70% private water (borehole, well \& spring supplies) \& 30% mains water.
The work we complete encompasses a multitude of skills including mechanical, electrical, plumbing and general engineering and therefore the successful candidate will need a proven track record in at least some of these disciplines.
We are now seeking an experienced and proactive engineer to ultimately take on the role of Team Leader whilst being able to complete installations, servicing, fault breakdowns and offer support within the office, helping with stock ordering, job scheduling, job planning, surveying, quoting etc.
From our Somerton office we cover an area including Somerset, Devon, Dorset \& Wiltshire and some specific sites outside of this area.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise advanced technical skills in a dynamic environment, contributing to the future growth of the company.
A van will be provided along with uniform, tools and equipment.

The role will be both field and office based.
Salary is negotiable and depends on experience.
22 days holiday \+ bank holidays
Commission is payable on sales of equipment \- full details will be given during interview
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate a team of field engineers to achieve project objectives efficiently and effectively.
- Proven experience in mechanical engineering ideally working with pumps (borehole/submersible/booster etc).
- Excellent installation skills working with a variety of pipework \- MDPE/copper etc
- Proficiency in CAD software would be beneficial.
- Good customer facing skills \& experience in a field based role
