As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and mechanical building systems. You will play a key role in ensuring all plant and equipment remain safe, compliant and fully operational. Key Responsibilities
Perform planned preventative and reactive maintenance on heating and air conditioning systems.
Maintain evaporative cooling systems and domestic water systems in line with L8 requirements.
Diagnose and resolve plant faults efficiently to minimise downtime.
Carry out maintenance on mechanical building services equipment including pumps, motors and valves.
Ensure maintenance records are accurately completed and updated.
Prepare and follow risk assessments and method statements for all work activities.
Maintain compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures.
Build positive working relationships with colleagues, clients and contractors.
Deliver a high standard of customer service at all times.
Participate in an out\-of\-hours call\-out and standby rota when required. About You Essential Skills \& Experience
Formal training in mechanical services maintenance.
Experience maintaining pumps, motors and valves.
Knowledge of heating, cooling and air conditioning plant.
Strong understanding of health and safety requirements within maintenance environments.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. Desirable
Experience working on a client\-occupied site.
Basic Building Management System (BMS) knowledge.
Formal health and safety qualifications or training.
Certification in the maintenance and operation of evaporative cooling systems.
