Mechanical Engineer - BMS
Dornan Engineering Group is a leading international engineering contractor delivering high\-value projects across Europe, UK \& Ireland. Based in Cork with travel to sites as required, this is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Engineering Management team as a Mechanical Engineer, supporting the delivery of our projects across a wide variety of sectors.
You will be responsible for managing the delivery of mechanical and BMS systems from design through commissioning and handover, ensuring safe, high\-quality, and efficient project execution.
Your day will include:
- Coordinate mechanical and BMS design activities across all project phases.
- Manage BMS procurement, subcontractors, commissioning, and system handover.
- Review technical submissions, drawings, RFIs, and operational documentation.
- Support installation, QA inspections, system walkdowns, and commissioning activities.
- Monitor project schedules, risks, and progress to support successful delivery.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and project teams to ensure quality and HSE compliance.
- Strong experience in mechanical engineering and construction project delivery.
- Good knowledge of HVAC, piping systems, and BMS design, installation, and commissioning.
- Experience with major BMS platforms such as Trend, Schneider, and Tridium desirable.
