Take command of a bulk carrier trading worldwide with OSM Thome. As Master, you will lead the vessel, crew and operations safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with international regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall command of the vessel, crew management and discipline
- Safe navigation, voyage planning and execution
- Oversee cargo operations, stability and seaworthiness
- Ensure full compliance with ISM, ISPS and company procedures
- Maintain high standards of safety, security and environmental protection
- Effective communication with owners, charterers, agents and authorities
- Lead onboard drills, training and safety meetings
Requirements
- Valid Master Mariner (Unlimited) CoC
- Proven experience as Master on bulk carriers
- Strong navigational, ship handling and cargo operation skills
- Good command of English, both spoken and written
- Up\-to\-date STCW certificates and valid medical fitness
- Strong leadership, decision\-making and crew management skills
