Join OSM Thome as 2nd Officer onboard a modern car carrier trading worldwide. You will be part of a professional deck team, supporting safe navigation, cargo operations and day\-to\-day vessel routines.

  • Key responsibilities:

  • Assist Chief Officer with navigation, watchkeeping and passage planning

  • Stand bridge watch and ensure safe and efficient ship handling

  • Assist with cargo planning, loading, securing and discharge of vehicles

  • Maintain charts, publications and navigational equipment

  • Support safety, ISM and ISPS procedures and onboard drills

  • Carry out assigned maintenance and deck duties

  • Requirements:

  • Valid 2nd Officer / OOW (Deck) license, STCW compliant

  • Previous experience as 2/O or OOW, preferably on car carriers or Ro\-Ro vessels

  • Valid STCW basic and advanced certificates, including GMDSS

  • Good English communication skills

  • Fit for duty with valid medical certificate

  • Strong safety mindset and good teamwork attitude
