£28,000 to £34,000, depending on experience. Permanent, full time. Part\-time hours may be considered for an experienced candidate.

Putterills has been selling homes across Hertfordshire since 1992\. We are independent, established estate agent and proud of the reputation we have built for honest advice, proper local knowledge and a more personal approach to estate agency.

We are now looking for a Marketing and Social Media Executive to join our Welwyn Garden City office. You will lead marketing for our other sales offices and the lettings department as well, while being part of the Welwyn Garden City team day to day.

Marketing has become central to how homes are sold and let. It is no longer a case of uploading a listing and waiting for enquiries. It is presentation, photography, video, social media, email and website content, and making sure the right people notice the right property at the right time. We want to do it properly.

This is a role for someone genuinely creative. We are not looking for the bland, computer\-written content that fills most agency feeds. We want someone with their own ideas and a good eye, who can tell the story of a home and the people behind it, and present it well enough that people stop and take notice.

It is a role with two sides, and both matter. The first is the creative work, shaping how Putterills and our clients' homes are presented across social media, brochures, video, the website and email.

The second is the practical side, supporting the Welwyn Garden City office with the day\-to\-day administration that keeps it running, the listings, brochures, file preparation, website updates and follow\-up. Good marketing only works when the detail behind it is right, and the best person for this role will be as organised as they are creative.

You will have the freedom to bring ideas and make the role your own, with the support and security of a strong, established local agency behind you.

What we are looking for

  • A genuine creative streak, your own ideas and a good eye for content

  • Confidence with social media and an understanding of what makes people engage

  • Good writing, with the ability to adapt tone for property, people and local content

  • An interest in or aptitude for videography would be a real asset

  • Strong organisation and attention to detail, comfortable keeping several things moving at once

  • Confidence supporting a busy office and working closely with a sales team

  • Estate agency or property experience is welcome but not essential
We can teach you the property side. The creativity, care and attention to detail need to come from you.

What the role involves

  • Creating and scheduling social media content

  • Supporting property launches and marketing campaigns

  • Producing brochures, property descriptions and other marketing material

  • Coordinating photography, video and property presentation

  • Updating website content and supporting email marketing

  • Working with the sales and lettings teams to find good stories and opportunities

  • Keeping the Putterills brand consistent across the offices

  • Supporting the Welwyn Garden City team with property administration, listings and office processes

  • Helping with follow\-up, client communication and general office support where needed
What you get
  • Salary of £28,000 to £34,000, depending on experience
