Brighton Chamber is at the heart of the city’s business community, bringing people together to meet, learn and grow.

We’re looking for a Marketing \& Engagement Manager to join our small, friendly team to help us to grow and develop the Chamber. We’d like someone who will craft our marketing messages and campaigns to engage our existing membership and attract new members, promote our vibrant events programme and funded projects we run to support the city’s wider economy.

The ideal person for this role is a marketing generalist, who has a mix of strategic thinking and practical application. You’ll deliver impactful marketing and engagement campaigns across social, email, digital, print and PR – working with members and partners to showcase the Chamber and support delivering an exceptional experience for our members.

You’ll get to know our members, finding stories to share, and understanding what they need \- tailoring marketing messages that help them maximize the benefits of their membership and engage with the Chamber community.

You will work closely with your Chamber team colleagues, leading on our marketing and maintaining systems and process to make the most of opportunities to showcase the Chamber. You’ll quickly become an important part of a team that’s collaborative and passionate about Brighton’s business community.

The key skills we’re looking for are:

  • A skilled marketeer – understanding how copy, video, design and key messages can persuade and inform and help grow our membership and a thriving business community through campaigns and digital marketing.

  • Great communicator – able to create impactful and persuasive content which stands out and showcases the Chamber and our members brilliantly across multiple platforms.

  • Organised project manager – happy to move between different types of work and the kind of person who doesn’t miss a detail.

  • Friendly, confident and enjoys being around people – you’ll chat to and follow up members in person, by phone and online.

  • Proactive and responsible – takes ownership and make things happen.

  • A team player – we’re a small team that works best when communicates openly and supports one another to get things done.

Location: PLATF9RM, Brighton (option for hybrid working after 3 months)

Salary: £32\-£35K depending on experience.

Hours: Full time, 37\.5 hours

Contract: Permanent

Holiday: 24 days \+ bank holidays

Pay: £32,000\.00\-£35,000\.00 per year
