As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a motivated and commercially minded Education Sales Consultant to join our team and support the expansion of our services within the Chinese\-speaking community in the UK and overseas.

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive, culturally aware, and detail\-oriented Marketing Assistant to join our dynamic international education consultancy team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about international education, social media marketing, and cross\-cultural communication. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving branding and student recruitment initiatives, specifically targeting Chinese students currently in the UK, as well as overseas Chinese\-speaking prospects planning to study abroad. A strong bilingual command of English and Mandarin, a deep understanding of Chinese social media ecosystems, and proficiency in digital marketing tools are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Social Media \& Content Operations: Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies across major Chinese social media channels (e.g., Xiaohongshu/Red, WeChat Official Accounts, Channels, and Weibo) to attract and engage perspective clients.


• Bilingual Content Creation: Support the creation of localized marketing materials, study abroad guides, and promotional graphics/videos using Microsoft PowerPoint, Canva, or other design tools.


• Market Analysis \& Trend Spotting: Conduct analysis of local UK education trends, competitor strategies, and student preferences within the Chinese\-speaking student community to inform future lead\-generation initiatives.


• Community Management: Cultivate and manage online student communities (such as WeChat applicant groups), responding to initial inquiries and nurturing prospects before transferring them to education consultants.


• Event Planning \& Offline Marketing: Support the planning and execution of offline promotional activities, university campus tours, and workshops tailored for Chinese students in the UK.


• Project \& Lead Management: Maintain organized records of marketing activities, campaign conversion rates, and student inquiries using internal IT systems or CRM tools.


• B2B Partnership Support: Coordinate with internal consulting teams and external student societies (e.g., Chinese Students and Scholars Associations \- CSSAs) or institutional partners on co\-marketing activities.

Requirements

• Bilingual Proficiency: Native or near\-native fluency in Mandarin Chinese, combined with high proficiency in English (both written and verbal) to effectively bridge communication between clients and UK educational contexts.


• Chinese Social Media Expertise: Demonstrated experience or deep familiarity with the ecosystem of Xiaohongshu (Red) and WeChat marketing is highly desirable.


• Education Industry Awareness: A solid understanding of the UK education system (including UCAS, postgraduate applications, and student visa pathways) is a strong asset.


• Organisational \& Time Management Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple content schedules and project timelines simultaneously in a fast\-paced environment.


• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical ability to track campaign metrics (likes, shares, conversion rates) and generate actionable insights for student recruitment.


• Technical Proficiency: Essential experience with Microsoft Excel, Office Suite, and PowerPoint; familiarity with video/photo editing tools is a big plus.


• Cultural Competence \& Empathy: Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine willingness to support international students adjusting to life and study in the UK.

Pay: £15\.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Manchester (Greater Manchester)
