Mac Marine is a small, owner\-operated marine repair and servicing business based at Carriden Boatyard, Bo'ness. We work across Central Scotland on a wide range of vessels and equipment, with a reputation built on doing the job properly.
We are growing and looking for an experienced marine engineer to join us on a full\-time basis. This is a great opportunity to be part of a small business where your skills will be put to use every day on varied and interesting work.

The Role
You will be working directly alongside the owner on day\-to\-day servicing, repairs, and maintenance across the full range of Mac Marine services.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Servicing and repair of outboards, inboards, and outdrives
- Fault finding and fixing
- Fibreglass repair and paintwork
- Trailer inspection and repair
- Jet ski servicing and repairs
- Mobile work across Scotland
- Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used for each job
- Supporting customer communication in a professional and friendly manner
What We Are Looking For
Essential:
- Proven hands\-on experience in marine engineering
- Strong knowledge of outboard and/or inboard engine servicing and repair
- Competent in fault finding and diagnostics, working independently
- Comfortable working at a boatyard, in confined spaces, and on the water where required
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication skills and a reliable, professional approach
- Experience with Volvo Penta, Yamaha, Mercury, or similar engine brands
- Knowledge of GRP / fibreglass repair
- Jet ski experience
- Any relevant health and safety training (COSHH awareness, manual handling, working at height)
