We are looking for a Manufacturing Sustaining Engineer M/F/X on a permanent contract, full time to join our team in Lozanne.As Manufacturing Sustaining Engineer, you will support products once they've moved from design into full production. You ensure that what rolls off the line stays reliable, buildable, and cost\-effective throughout the product's lifecycle. Your work blend factory\-floor sleuthing with long\-range product stewardship.
Key Responsibilities for this role : .
- Assist in managing Engineering work requests (EWRs) and work on Engineering Change Notification (ECNs) for component changes related to manufacturability, cost, reliability or Value Engineering.
- Support supply chain continuity by evaluating alternates when components face obsolescence, long lead times, or cost spikes.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and design engineering teams, keeping product intent intact as changes are rolled out.
- Analyze yields and process capability (Cp/Cpk) to identify where the production line needs tuning or tooling adjustments.
- Contribute to the optimization of manufacturability by refining assembly steps, tooling, testing procedures, or quality control processes.
- Review and update production documentation including 3D, drawings, test specs, BOMs, drawings, labels, manuals, etc.
- Champion product reliability, feeding lessons learned back to design teams and ensuring consistent performance in the field.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering with minimum 3 years of professional experience in a similar role in industrial environments.
- Proficient with CAD (SolidWorks preferably), PLM, and ERP systems.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, tolerances (GD\&T), and test data.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working cross\-functionally.
- Fluent in French \& English.
