The Role
We are looking for an experienced and driven Production Manager to lead our blow moulding manufacturing operation. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and cost\-effective production while maintaining the highest quality standards.
You will manage a team of approximately 50 production personnel through Shift Supervisors and play a vital role in driving performance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day\-to\-day blow moulding production operations
- Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are achieved
- Drive KPIs including OEE, waste reduction, downtime, and labour efficiency
- Lead, motivate, and develop multi\-shift production teams
- Promote a strong health \& safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE standards
- Support continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing and 5S
- Work closely with Engineering and Quality teams to improve performance and reduce downtime
- Drive improvements in efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainability
- Proven experience as a Production Manager within plastics manufacturing, ideally blow moulding
- Strong leadership experience managing large teams within a fast\-paced manufacturing environment
- Good understanding of blow moulding processes
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem\-solving skills
- Knowledge of UK health \& safety standards and employment legislation
- NEBOSH or IOSH qualification
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
