The Role

We are looking for an experienced and driven Production Manager to lead our blow moulding manufacturing operation. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and cost\-effective production while maintaining the highest quality standards.

You will manage a team of approximately 50 production personnel through Shift Supervisors and play a vital role in driving performance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day\-to\-day blow moulding production operations


• Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are achieved


• Drive KPIs including OEE, waste reduction, downtime, and labour efficiency


• Lead, motivate, and develop multi\-shift production teams


• Promote a strong health \& safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE standards


• Support continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing and 5S


• Work closely with Engineering and Quality teams to improve performance and reduce downtime


• Drive improvements in efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainability

• Proven experience as a Production Manager within plastics manufacturing, ideally blow moulding


• Strong leadership experience managing large teams within a fast\-paced manufacturing environment


• Good understanding of blow moulding processes


• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects


• Strong communication, organisational, and problem\-solving skills


• Knowledge of UK health \& safety standards and employment legislation

• NEBOSH or IOSH qualification


• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
