Manufacturing Operative - Traineeship

This is a 22 month fixed term contract based in Erskine, Scotland.

Our mission:

To enable veterans and others with disabilities to regain their independence through personal development involving employment and skills (Your role will support the business across a wide number of tasks and help boost our output).

The role of Manufacturing Operative \- Signs is key as we develop the capacity and production capabilities of our operational team.

Training will be conducted within the workplace but also within our training room under supervision and direction of our training manager. Whilst in role you will work on an agreed personal development plan which will enhance your CV and help increase the impact you can deliver here. It will also increase your employability in future roles beyond SBMC.

The team is overseen by the Operations Manager who will also be your line manager. The team itself is a diverse group of people consisting of military veterans, others with disabilities and specialists in specific roles. We are guided by our mission and RBVE values. As a veteran yourself, we value the transferable skills you will bring to the workplace.

This role has been sponsored by a Traffic Management company who are keen to support veterans into employment and also offer opportunities within their workplace there will be opportunities to transition to permanent employment with this partner.

The role:

The main function of this role is to produce signs/products to the correct standard and to support other tasks across the factory floor. You will be required to engage in training within the role in order to increase your employability within the business; take part in placement with industry partners and; engage in other activities that support your move on to future employment.
