Join our dynamic logistics team as a Manager, where you'll lead and optimize supply chain operations to ensure seamless movement of goods from suppliers to customers. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive process improvements, manage cross\-functional teams, and implement innovative logistics strategies. As a key player in our organization, you'll oversee warehouse activities, transportation management, and inventory control, all while fostering a culture of efficiency and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category management strategies to optimize product sourcing and inventory levels.
- Lead process improvement initiatives across warehousing, shipping, receiving, and transportation functions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage the use and integration of transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and AS400 platforms to streamline logistics workflows.
- Oversee third\-party logistics providers (3PL) relationships, ensuring service levels meet company standards.
- Coordinate shipping \& receiving activities, ensuring accurate picking \& packing processes and timely deliveries.
- Utilize data analysis skills to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
- Supervise materials handling operations, including forklift usage and warehouse safety protocols, to maintain a secure and productive environment.
- Proven experience in logistics management with a strong understanding of supply chain processes.
- Expertise in category management, process improvement methodologies, and logistics best practices.
- Hands\-on experience with transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms, and AS400 systems.
- Familiarity with third\-party logistics (3PL) operations, shipping \& receiving procedures, and materials handling equipment such as forklifts.
- Strong data analysis skills to interpret operational metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Extensive warehouse experience with knowledge of picking \& packing procedures and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership abilities with the capacity to manage cross\-functional teams effectively.
Pay: Up to £46,500\.00 per year
