Overview

Dublin Port Company is seeking an experienced Management Information \& Strategy Specialist to help drive our ambition of becoming a truly data\-driven organisation. This is a unique opportunity to build and shape our management information capability from the ground up. Working across the business, you will develop meaningful insights, executive dashboards, KPI frameworks and reporting solutions that support better decision\-making at every level of the organisation, including the Executive Management Team and Board. You will combine analytical expertise, commercial awareness and strong stakeholder engagement skills to turn complex data into actionable business intelligence. You will also contribute to major strategic initiatives, including the future development of Dublin Port through our long\-term Masterplan. This is a highly visible, business\-facing role. While strong analytics and dashboard\-building capability are essential, this is not a pure technical or data engineering position. Success will come from understanding business priorities, asking the right questions, and helping leaders make informed decisions. Key Responsibilities

Management Information \& Analytics

  • Develop and maintain management dashboards, KPI scorecards and performance reports for business functions, the Executive Management Team and Board.

  • Partner with stakeholders across the organisation to understand business objectives and identify the information needed to support effective decision\-making.

  • Analyse and interpret data from operational, financial, HR and other business systems.

  • Identify trends, opportunities and risks, providing clear recommendations and actionable insights.

  • Improve data quality, reporting standards, KPI definitions and governance processes.

  • Automate recurring reporting and management information through tools such as Power BI, Power Query, Copilot and other Microsoft technologies.
Strategy \& Business Improvement
  • Support the development and delivery of Dublin Port Company's Strategy, Masterplan and other key strategic initiatives.

  • Conduct internal and external research, market analysis and benchmarking studies.

  • Assess performance against leading ports and infrastructure organisations, identifying opportunities to improve organisational effectiveness and competitiveness.

  • Work closely with the Strategy team while collaborating with the Technology team on data architecture, reporting solutions and systems improvements.
Qualifications

Essential

  • At least six years' relevant experience in management information, business intelligence, analytics, performance management, strategy, consulting or a related field.

  • Level 8 degree (or equivalent) in Business, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline.

  • Experience using AI tools to enhance analysis, reporting and productivity.

  • A proven ability to work with stakeholders to define business questions and translate them into meaningful KPIs, insights and reporting solutions.

  • Experience influencing and working effectively with colleagues across multiple functions and organisational levels.

  • Strong experience combining data from multiple systems and identifying data quality or reporting issues.

  • A track record of producing analysis and insights that have influenced management decisions, organisational priorities or business performance.

  • Experience designing or improving reporting processes, KPI frameworks and data ownership models.

  • Strong dashboard and reporting development skills using Power BI, Excel and related analytical tools.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to both technical and non\-technical audiences.
Desirable Experience
  • Management consulting, internal consulting or transformation environments.

  • Transport, logistics, infrastructure, engineering, utilities or other asset\-intensive sectors.

  • Organisational strategy development, business planning or major capital programmes.

  • Executive or board\-level reporting.

  • Data governance, data architecture and master data management.

  • HR, financial, operational or asset management systems.
Skills \& Attributes
  • Highly analytical, curious and commercially aware.

  • Skilled in solving business problems through data and insight.

  • Advanced in Excel and experienced in Power BI or similar visualisation tools.

  • Confident using AI tools to improve efficiency and decision\-making.

  • Familiar with Power Query and SQL (desirable).

  • An excellent communicator who can build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic environment where priorities evolve and new opportunities emerge.

  • Self\-motivated, proactive and eager to drive continuous improvement.
