Management Accountant

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum

Role Overview: As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, reports and variance analysis, bank reconciliations, VAT returns, sales reporting and analysis, annual audit/tax pack requirements, and other ad\-hoc finance tasks as required.

What you'll be doing:

• Preparing month\-end journals.


• Conducting full analysis of all P\&L accounts.


• Preparing group companies' Monthly Reporting Packs (MRP) including commentaries on key variances to budget in line with the month\-end timetable.


• Reconciling all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis and raising any concerns to the FP\&A/FC/FD.


• Performing daily sales and bank reconciliations.


• Maintaining the fixed asset register.


• Completing VAT returns on a quarterly basis.


• Reconciling intercompany accounts.


• Following and adhering to the company Standard Operating Processes (SOPs) at all times.


• Assisting with purchase ledger as required.


• Monitoring the debtors ledger to ensure any outstanding debt is chased and escalating any issues to the FP\&A/FC/FD.


• Assisting with the annual and biannual company stock takes.


• Allocating cash receipts on cashier accounts.


• Completing ‘Office for National Statistics’ questionnaires.


• Conducting sales reporting and analysis.


• Contributing to the annual business planning process.


• Assisting year\-end auditors and other external Finance consultants, providing answers to any queries in a timely manner.

• At least two years’ experience in a similar role.


• ACCA/CIMA (full or part qualified).


• Excellent Excel skills.


• Good IT skills.


• Experience of Sage 200 (desirable).
