We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our Finance team at the head office. This role is crucial for providing accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making within the business. The Management Accountant will be involved in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and performance reporting, aiming to enhance financial efficiency and profitability. This position reports directly to the Financial Controller and does not have direct reports.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Support the Financial Controller in preparing monthly management accounts, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.


• Analyse financial performance and provide commentary on variances against budget and forecast.


• Deliver actionable insights to support strategic and operational decisions.


• Develop and maintain financial dashboards and KPIs.


• Manage cashier functions and process goods receipts.


• Support the budgeting and quarterly forecast processes across departments.


• Monitor costs and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies.


• Conduct sales reporting and margin analysis.


• Act as a key finance partner to the wider business, providing financial guidance and translating complex data into clear insights.


• Ensure adherence to internal controls, support audit processes, and maintain compliance with accounting standards.


• Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and reporting.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of management accounting principles.


• Proven experience in preparing monthly management accounts.


• Proficient in financial analysis, including trend analysis, margin analysis, and performance tracking.


• Proficiency in Excel and experience with finance/ERP systems.


• Understanding of financial controls, compliance, and audit requirements.


• Experience in cash flow forecasting and working capital management.


• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
