Major Repair Engineer (Generator)

Job description:

Generator Power is the UK's largest and privately owned generator rental company having enjoyed over 28 years of supply in the industry. Generator Power now has an excellent opportunity for two Major Repair Engine Mechanics to join our team at our Normanton facility.

Monday to Friday \- 40 hours a week, 8:00AM \- 17:00PM

*Duties/Responsibilities:*

• Major repair of our hire fleet of generators which consists mostly of engine overhauling across Cummins / Volvo / Perkins \& Kubota engines.


• Fault diagnosis \& repair across mechanical and electrical control systems.


• Strip down, inspection and rebuild of engines from a 10kva \> 1250kva capacity.


• Complete other extensive repairs to ensure our equipment operates to the highest performance.


• Regular servicing, maintenance and load testing of equipment once repairs have been completed.

Qualifications/Skills required:

• Experience on generators / plant equipment / HGV (or similar)


• Experience of engine overhauling


• Plant or Mechanical engineering qualifications
