At SynergyLMS, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service and solutions to our clients. We are looking for a proactive Maintenance Engineer in our Sheffield site to provide maintenance, breakdown support, and engineering assistance for customer\-owned equipment on site. Working as part of a team, you will help ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely while minimising downtime and supporting production.
Reports To: Engineering Manager
Shift Options;
Position 1 – Monday to Friday
15:00 – 23:30
Position 2 – Panama Shift (2\-2\-3 pattern)
05:00 – 17:30
Work 2 → Off 2 → Work 3 → Off 2 → Work 2 → Off 3
The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will provide planned, preventative and reactive maintenance support, ensuring machinery and equipment operate safely, efficiently and reliably.
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out planned, preventative and routine maintenance.
- Attend breakdowns, diagnose faults and complete repairs.
- Conduct equipment inspections, testing and maintenance checks.
- Accurately record maintenance, repairs and remedial actions.
- Work with colleagues and customers to resolve equipment issues and minimise production disruption.
- Take ownership of maintenance tasks through to completion.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and maintenance practices.
- Ensure all work complies with Health \& Safety requirements.
You will ideally have:
- Previous maintenance engineering or similar engineering experience.
- Strong fault\-finding and problem\-solving skills.
- Experience with planned and reactive maintenance.
- A practical, methodical and proactive approach.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise work within a busy production environment.
- Strong commitment to Health \& Safety.
Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent
Pay: £45,000\.00\-£50,000\.00 per year
