The Maintenance Engineer Role
You will ensure smooth and reliable operation of equipment and machinery by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing repairs, along with fast and effective response to equipment break downs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out all tasks in a safe and efficient manner
- Carry out routine statutory maintenance
- Complete ad hoc repairs to various mechanical equipment
- Maintenance of plant equipment and pumps
- Prioritising workload throughout shift
- Good and effective communication with all departments across site
- Work collaboratively with the production staff
- Suggest and implement improvements
- Attend meetings as appropriate
- Keep up to date records for audits
- Experience working with pumps, mixers.
- Organisational skills.
- Time management skills.
- Computer literate.
- Effective teamwork.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of tanks and bulk tank systems
- Knowledge of electrical systems
- Previous experience of working at height/within confined spaces
