Maintenance Engineer

Full‑time \| 5‑day week \| Central London (Trafalgar Square)

We are now looking for a friendly, skilled, and hands‑on Maintenance Engineer with (a Painting \& Decorating Focus) to join our dedicated Engineering Team.

What You’ll Be Doing

As our Shift Engineer / Painter \& Decorator, you will:

• Oversee daily engineering and maintenance operations in line with checklists


• Carry out high‑standard painting \& decorating across guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house


• Respond to routine and urgent maintenance requests from all hotel departments


• Complete regular inspections and preventive maintenance across life‑safety systems and hotel facilities


• Ensure all statutory compliance is met and report any safety concerns


• Support and supervise external contractors working on site


• Work 8‑hour shifts across a 5‑day week (flexible schedule including weekends)

What We’re Looking For

You will thrive in this role if you have:

• Previous experience as a Maintenance, Shift, or Hotel Engineer (luxury hotel experience desirable)


• Strong painting \& decorating skills with great attention to detail


• Certified knowledge in at least one engineering discipline


• A “can‑do” attitude and the ability to prioritise tasks independently


• Good communication skills (English preferred) in a guest‑facing environment


• Flexibility to work different shifts including weekends


• A collaborative mindset and a proactive approach

A desire to grow your engineering career

• Multi‑skilled engineering (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, life safety)
